If you are a mother of a young child then you'll understand how moody children can be. It's a rare thing when my four year old daughter actually comes up to me and asks if she can sit with me. She used to cuddle all the time, until she discovered walking and playing. So needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised when my Hana Bear asked if she could sit with me this morning. We sat on the couch together through an episode of Dora, and two Team Umi Zoomi's. I rather despise those annoying Nick Jr. shows, but if watching means I get quality time with my little girl, then I'm game =). It really is the little things in life...or so we think. These are actually the big things, because they are the things we cherish most of all.
These past four years have flown by so fast...I remember this day like it was yesterday. Its sad when reality hits that your baby isn't such a little baby anymore. We just celebrated Hana's birthday last weekend. Watching her interact with people and talk like such a big girl was an incredibly bitter sweet time for me. I know she's only 4, but before you know it "she's only 8" or "she's only 16". My promise is to cherish EVERY moment with all my children no matter how big or small they are. After all, you never know how big a moment really is until that time is lost and it's too late. It's that or I figure out how to keep my babies little forever. Any ideas??
I love more now that I am a mom than I ever thought I could love before!
